I'm currently a warehouse/production supervisor for Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, a subsidiary of the Nestle/Froneri acquisition where I manage a night shift team responsible for receiving raw materials, stocking, and supplying the production system within the facility for Haagen Dazs', Outshine, Drumstick, and many other consumer brands. This position requires me to provide direction across both ends of the supply chains responsible for fulfillment within the local customer distribution channels and beyond the eastern region. I was previously a Team Captain for TESSCO Technologies specializing mid-level manufacturing and distribution of wireless products and technological solutions. This company helped me grow as a leader and achieve some of my internal and external goals along the way. While working with TESSCO, I simultaneously worked in various leadership capacities within the supply chain industry for companies such as FedEx, Amazon, The Home Depot, and Walmart. Distribution, Logistics, and Supply Chain have been an integral part of my background within my twenty years of professional experience. Previously, I was in the role of Team Coordinator for TESSCO’s second shift operation. I led a team of pickers, packers, receivers, and stockers, and was responsible for the delegation and overall strategy for order shipping across the various departments. During my time as Team Coordinator, I attended community college to help mirror real experiences in the field with formal principles of management. Some of these fundamentals include lean management and 5S. I eventually graduated with an Associate’s degree in Business Management and continued to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I was promoted to the position of Team Captain in 2006 as part of a corporate initiative to help the company reach one billion in revenue. I was responsible for the management of the second shift shipping and receiving operation. I worked various shifts in this role ranging from the day shift to the overnight shift where I spent many of my early years leading and coaching a fluctuating count of team members and Team Coordinators. Some of my responsibilities included shipping all orders by the end of the shift, inventory control, and truck dispatching. My duties also included training and evaluating team members and coordinators. I contributed to helping maintain the facility as a 9001:2000 OSHA-certified distribution center.
