I am an experienced Human Resources leader with a demonstrated history of working in the retail industry for 12+ years. I currently serve as the People Team Business Leader (Sr. HRBP) with Wawa, Inc. In this role I lead a team of HRBPs that support our Store Operations function which includes 1000+ Wawa stores, 45,000+ exempt/non-exempt employees across 11 regions spanning spanning 8 different states. My role also supports employees from our corporate headquarters Store Operations Corporate Support functions, inclusive of our Call Center.Previous to Wawa, Inc., I served as the District Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Macy's, Inc. for the DelMarVa North/Philly district which included 19 Macy’s locations and total sales of $500MM+. I oversaw the HR functions for 3,300+ exempt/non-exempt employees. While serving in this role, I was selected to participate in the Macy's Accelerated Leadership Development Program (ALDP) which was a leadership development program designed to prepare director level leaders for more senior leadership roles in the organization. I also served as the sole HR representative for the Macy's Star Council which was a focus group designed to produce and test new innovative ideas for the organization.I am a student of the business - which in turn, helps me to align business operations with HR strategy and execution. While most of my HR experience has been in generalist roles, I am consistently expanding my experience and knowledge within the HR field by taking on additional responsibilities and collaborations within the learning and development, talent acquisition, and talent development fields. I have a passion for talent - I obtained my Bachelor of Science focused in Psychology from the University of Maryland because I wanted to advance my knowledge in what drives people to succeed.
