Manufacturing EngineerAlcon May 2022 - PresentGeneva, Switzerland, ChObjective:Own and manage the ORA Aberrometer, ORA Cart, PurePoint Laser Console, and Next Generation Therapeutic Laser Console (NGTL) production lines to meet site goals.Contributions:• Component Risk Assessment and Qualifications • New Product Transfer• Assembly Operation Verifications • Drawing & Process Management• Installation/Operation Qualifications• Validation Assessments & Engineering Studies• Nonconformance Investigations• Sustaining Product Management• MRB Management/Reduction -
Aerodynamics Lead EngineerUci Solar Car Jan 2019 - Jun 2020Irvine, Ca, UsObjective:Design, prove, and manufacture a solar car body that can support solar arrays, withstand structural and aerodynamic loads, and operate efficiently in the American Solar Challenge.Result:UCI has one of its first competitive solar car design that can house enough solar arrays to power the vehicle and its electrical components, is able to withstand loads up to 150lbs/wind loads up to 75lbs, and allows the driver to egress safely. Contributions:• Led 2 engineers to design a solar car body with quarterly timelines, weekly tasks and meetings, and progress documentation using DFMA methodologies.• Used FEA and CFD analysis to show the shell structure can withstand a 150lb falling object and produced favorable downforce with a tolerable drag in ~65mph airspeeds. • Wrote and successfully received ~$1,500 in university grant for component purchasing and manufacturing.• Worked closely with chassis, suspension, solar array, and human interface subdivisions to ensure compliance across cross-functional designs for integration and assembly. -
Mechanical/Manufacturing EngineerCadence Aerospace Jun 2019 - Apr 2020Objective: Support various engineering needs for manufacturing structural struts and beams that met Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Spirit, & Fokker programs.Contributions:• Created manufacturing drawings for Masking, Anodizing, Deburring, and Benching• Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts by assessing nonconformities using inspection tools (calipers, thickness gauge, and thread gauge)• Improved productivity and safety by implement lean manufacturing and six sigma practices.

Passenger Aircraft Design ProjectUci Samueli School Of Engineering Jan 2020 - Mar 2020Irvine, Ca, UsAircraft Design Course - MAE 159Objective: Design/compare a 150 passenger aircraft that can carry 3,000 lbs of cargo, have a flight range of 3,000 naut mi., and fly at 0.8 Mach at 35,000 ft elevation using old (1970) and modern (2020) technology (i.e. difference in engine efficiency and the use of aluminum or composite fuselages). Results:• Utilized Solidworks to create engineering drawings of an aircraft that had optimized wing, layout of passenger accommodations, cargo containers, and engine nacelle dimensions and locations that were computed by hand and with the use of MATLAB.• Gained comprehensive knowledge on the process and considerations for designing a passenger aircraft including, but not limited to: charts/graphs pertaining to Mach divergence, CLmax, JT8D/9D fuel weight ratio, all-out range, and thrust ratios at various altitudes, alongside with operational costs, and optimizations of the wings, fuel tank, engine, and structural configurations. -
Mech Systems Design Project - Electrical & Pneumatic EngineerUci Samueli School Of Engineering Apr 2019 - Jun 2019Irvine, Ca, UsMechanical Systems Lab - MAE 106Objective: Restricted to the given components, build an autonomous robot constrained to a 12in diameter, 18in tall cylinder that could negotiate a brief turn and race down a 15ft straightaway competing against other robots.Result: A functioning robot was able to navigate a 90 deg turn and travel ~8ft before running out of air.Lessons learned: • Use of a PCB for better wire management.• Decreasing the angle of the piston in relation to the floor will provide more translational motion.• Avoid thin 3D printed structures for weight-bearing capabilities (formerly used on the steering mechanism).Contributions:• Designed and built the robot’s circuitry to utilize a single pneumatic cylinder for propulsion, a servo motor for steering, an accelerometer for 2D spatial orientation, a reed switch to measure wheel rotations, and an Arduino microcontroller for computing.• Troubleshooting protocols for failing electrical components.• Support with structural planning/fabrication. -
Lead EngineerDiablo Valley College Oct 2017 - May 2018Pleasant Hill, Ca, UsObjective: Design/build a proof of concept of an aquaponics system to serve the Horticulture Department in plant and produce sales. Results: A 70% complete system was built, leaving a structurally sound backbone for future iterations and students to get hands-on experience with aquaponics. Water can pump successfully from the fish tank, up and out of the plant tower, and into a collection bucket.Contributions:• Provided Diablo Valley College with the first aquaponics system which has the potential to grow produce or plants for consumption and sales and can serve as a teaching apparatus for future students. • Guided 2 members in design, drafting, and assembly of a plant tower, a solid waste filter, and general irrigation that accommodated for spatial limitations and maximized efficiency of water pumps.
