Brandon Cooper is a Brenham, Texas native, and is an alumnus of Prairie View A&M University; the first historically black university (HBCU) located in Prairie View, Texas. There he earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Early Childhood Education. Brandon later relocated to further his studies earning Master of Education in Educational Leadership at Saint Joseph's University and a Masters of Science in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He plans to continue Doctoral studies in Education soon.Mr. Cooper currently serves as a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia, choral director, musician, and psalmist. Brandon is a student, teacher, learner with special interests in literacy in African-American communities and families, music and literacy, and gender studies. He seeks opportunities to grow and embrace teacher education. Mr. Cooper's expertise is teaching elementary aged students and is particularly interested in teaching in the urban and suburban schools. Other insightful information includes: Brandon is a musician. He has played the piano and organ since age 8, and has served a choir and music director around Houston, Texas and surrounding areas.
