Working on the Vehicle Data Factory to process, store and simultaneously serve out ALL data captured from GM vehicles as the single source of truth for vehicle telemetry and diagnostic data. In doing this, we are creating the next generation platform for General Motors enterprise, making an HTAP Architecture - Hybrid Transactional / Analytical Processing. The architecture utilizes a wide stream of technologies in messaging (Kafka / Sqoop), computing (Spark), and persisted storage (Hadoop layer (Hive/SparkSQL) / Cassandra). With the magnitude, volume, and velocity of data involved, this creates a unique challenge from the typical big data challenges the IT industry faces today.

• Worked in a collaborative effort to create a Big Data Framework while deploying tools to capture, transform, analyze and store terabytes of structured and unstructured data• Led teams of 5 to 9 developers across multiple cities in the development of ETL solutions for Global Product Development and GCCX (OnStar) portfolios• Served as mentor and reviewer to cross-organization leads in all areas of EDW ETL• Focused teams on project objectives and tracked progress to ensure project milestones were completed on time and with the desired results• Actively involved in developing ETL design patterns and standards for the EDW
