How could somebody code so much?Nobody has ever asked me that question, but I like to think I code a lot… And I mean a LOT. I’ve been programming since 6th grade when I developed my first website, and I’ve been hooked ever since. However, my passion for programming has extended far beyond the scope of websites. I’ve built and scaled some of the largest game titles in the world; some of the games I’ve contributed to have accumulated 100K+ in-game hours. I pioneer games using Unity (C#), Unreal Engine, Lua, and Python. Furthermore, I’ve spearheaded software development at startups and organized scalable software solutions alone. Currently, I’m a machine-learning research assistant conducting undergraduate research as part of the Motorola Solutions Foundation. My research connects to bioinformatics in the context of neurobiology, where I employ data mining techniques as well as machine-learning algorithms to discover patterns within gene expression using Pandas, SciKit, NumPy, and Matplotlib with Python. Don’t worry, the nerdiness doesn’t end there! In my free time, I relish losing in a game of Chess after blundering my rooks. I also mentor and instruct Algebra, Physics, and Computer Science to students ranging from Kindergarten to College, aiming to introduce underserved members of the Chicagoland community to STEM-related fields. Share your most intriguing fact about space with me, and you might regret it after I bombard you with obscure cosmic factoids for hours on end. In all seriousness, I enjoy my work, and I take pride in what I do. Building and designing scalable software is what I do best, and I’m fascinated with applying problem-solving strategies to the digital world. I’d love to chat about anything tech-related or even discuss unconventional Chess openings that work!
