Brandon Duff is Managing Director and Senior Vice President of investment sales and capital markets for Northmarq. Duff leads a team of professionals specializing in the disposition, acquisition and capitalization of industrial, retail and office properties nationwide, as well as multi-market portfolio’s via direct sales, sale-leaseback, equity placement and structured repositioning’s. Additionally, he is expert within the industrial outdoor storage (IOS) / industrial service facility (ISF) product specialty, with a dedicated practice team focusing in the space. A top producer nationally, Duff’s client relationships include many of the industry’s most prominent developers, private equity sponsors, high-net-worth individuals, REITs, equity funds, and institutional investors, representing hundreds of different companies completing transactions in excess of $6.0 billion across 47 U.S. states and North America. In Q4 2022 Northmarq acquired Stan Johnson Company (SJC), where Duff served as Managing Director, Partner and was an equity Shareholder of the SJC operating company. Duff was also founding member of the SJC President’s Council and played an active role in the strategic direction of the firm’s business nationwide. At SJC, Duff had been the #1 individual producer, both in number of transactions and total deal consideration. In 2010, Duff founded the SJC Chicago office, where he was responsible for the building and leading of SJC’s Midwestern practice through new client development, transaction oversight, recruiting and broker mentorship. Prior to SJC, Duff was at one of the largest publicly traded commercial real estate brokerage firms in the U.S. and one of their top producers nationally. Duff has been recognized by Real Estate Forum’s 40 under 40 as one of the nation’s most influential people in commercial real estate, and as a Connect Media Next Generation Award winner, given to leaders in the CRE industry likely to be influential for years to come. Active in the commercial real estate industry and community, Duff is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and serves as an Executive Board Member of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation. Duff is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he was also a 4-time Letter Winner and co-captain of the Men’s Golf Team.
