Brandon is a pediatric nurse in the CVICU. He started at Phoenix Children’s hospital in their CVICU back on 10/15/2018. Brandon left PCH hospital after 4 years in 10/2022 to go complete his dream of being a travel Nurse. Before leaving he was apart of the Recruitment and Retention team as well as a preceptor to new employees and apart of the mentor team for new graduate nurses. He started in Dallas at Children’s Health in 10/2022 and stayed until end of April. He just started his 3rd contract on 5/15/2023 at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego. Some of Brandon’s skills include; managing patients in the pre-operative, post-operative, and advanced post-operative phase of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. He has also had training and cares for patients on ECMO, Oscillators, and CRRT. Main tasks Brandon completes in a shift range from assessments, adjusting drip doses based on assessment findings, line changes, management of foleys/wound vacs/chest tubes, and central line dressing changes to name a few. Brandon has learned so much and has the drive to continue to keep on learning as he progresses through his career.
