Coordinated and developed the Secure Operational Network Infrastructure and Communications (SONIC) Capabilities Production Document (CPD) which specifies the funding, sustainment, and expansion of 6,700 SONIC seats within the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) during the SONIC Program life cycle. Developed the HQMC C4 Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) pilot within the Pentagon to leverage an estimated $500,000 in cost savings to the government.

Directed and managed Marine Corps Enterprise level Defense Messaging System (DMS) operations as the DMS Chief of the Marine Corps. Ensured all DMS servers were fully Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) compliant, which led to receiving an Outstanding inspection result from the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) team from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Led a 24 hour Network Operations Center (NOC) of 5 personnel within a highly secure facility that operated and provided secure communications to over 300 personnel. Accounted for $45,000 worth of Consolidated Material Control Center (CMCC) items. Tracked $745,000 worth of Consolidated Memorandum Receipt (CMR) items. As Alternate Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Manager, performed monthly destruction of key and monthly updating of key for circuits.

Submitted planning documentation for several military exercises, to include the Network Accreditation Package, equipment and personnel rosters, and IP scheme. Successfully provided unclassified and classified network services during several military exercises.

Managed the unit’s data networks, Helpdesk, Defense Messaging, and Information Assurance efforts to support an organization of over 1500 personnel. Led a team of 6 Marines and implemented an Active Directory domain that functioned across 3 naval ships while underway. While embarking from ship to shore, planned and installed a mobile network for over 1500 personnel. Managed a helpdesk of 6 Marines while deployed aboard ship and ashore that provided data network services and desktop support for all Marine Expeditionary Unit personnel. Supervised the installation, operation, and maintenance of secure and non-secure networks while deploying to the Gulf Coast in support of Hurricane Katrina.

While deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, built one of the largest data networks ever deployed by the Marine Corps, supporting combat operations within ten days of arriving. Led the Battalion Helpdesk while deployed to Fallujah supporting over 3000 users. Managed the Fallujah network’s DHCP database of over 2000 hosts. Maintained 100% accountability of cryptographic and network assets valued at 939,000 dollars during this deployment. Implemented an Emergency Action Plan to ensure proper handling of cryptographic equipment in the event of catastrophe. Provided uninterrupted network access for 600 users aboard Camp Pendleton and users deployed to Iraq. Maintained and provided a Battalion Database of 1000 members, accessed by over 330 users to ensure successful operational planning, administrative accuracy, and timely reporting.
