Primary responsibility is for the overall Environmental, Health and Safety of the Northwest West/Mex Multi-Market. 300+ employees. This includes the following: • Manage and oversee all Quality/Safety Representatives, Supervisors and Managers in market.• Responsible for the overall quality of the Northwest West/Mex Multi-Market which includes reporting monthly results to the VP/MMGM.• Work with OSRs on all customer quality issues including customer visits, review & answer of all customer CARs and any other activities related to the overall quality for the entire multi-market.• Handle safety and quality at West/Mex Multi-Market directly until business conditions allow for additional staff.• Reporting monthly results to the VP/MMGM• Overseeing root cause analysis & report of all recordable incidents, developing & writing all local EH&S policies & procedures.• Working with all Operation Managers to conduct annual training for all safety polices & procedures.• Overseeing the proper safety training of all new employees.• Review NCRs for patterns & need for specific re-training, working with all Operation Managers to conduct annual training for all safety policies & procedures, oversee compliance with ISO certification or compliance.• Visit each location on a minimum of a quarterly basis, and review quality and safety training and documentation.• Training with Operations team and commercial team on safety and quality items.• Work with corporate on safety audits for each location.• Enhance and improve EHS policy use throughout market.• Accident/Incident Investigation and Corrective Action throughout market.• Conduct vendor audit program and eventually manage/oversee the program once business conditions allow for additional staff.• Any other activities related to the overall EH&S for the entire multi-market.

Expansion to Renton, WA and Spokane, WA facilities to scope of responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:• Conflict resolution with customers and suppliers• Customer satisfaction management of Quality with a 98% on-time delivery requirement and error-free parts• Minimizing customer returns for lowest R&A% possible• PPAP reporting on all required parts• Capability studies and management of all equipment for improvements• SPC tracking of parts/equipment• Management of calibration of all measuring equipment• Administrator for the ISO Certification• Vendor quality management working with our Supply Chain group (includes claim processing)• Implementing and meeting customer specific quality requirements and reporting, including inspection and any additional specific requirements• Identification and implementation of continuous improvements in all work processes• Lean Champion (Utilizing all tools including 5S)• Assure/Monitor completion and instruction of the Corrective Action plans and Preventative Action Plans. Drive Core team in CAR problem solving process.• Lead internal and customer quality audits and reports• Make customer visits representing Ryerson’s Quality Department (Joint with Sales) to promote quality awareness, compliance to standards and specifications and provide technical assistance.• Provide and assure the understanding and compliance with all required and applicable product quality specifications (ASTM, ASME, SAE, AMS, Federal, Military, Euro, CAT, customer specifications, ect)• Lead resolution of all mill claims, and be accountable for timely resolution of freight claims• Manage and analyze any QA lab requests/reports

During my time at Fairfield, I worked with the shot peen and induction hardening areas within the heat treat operations. I focused on new machine implementation, updated heat treat specifications and routing, and developed tooling to make work flow more smoothly and safely. I also completed an OSHA 30-hour course in my time at Fairfield. I was trained on how to assess deviation request for raw material; this required clear communication between our purchasing, engineering, and quality personnel as well as our customers and our suppliers. I led a team of heat treat specialists and outside consultants to update Fairfield's induction hardening, carburizing, pyrometry and hardness testing processes to meet the requirements in order to pass the Performance Review Institute (PRI) Transportation and Power Generation (TPG) audit. This audit was similar to that of a NADCAP audit, and has many of the same requirements. In order to prepare for this audit, we had to make procedural changes, update furnaces and induction machines, train personnel, implement more frequent calibrations on all equipment and execute all aspects of AMS 2750E throughout our heat treat department.

Worked with operators to learn the shot peen and induction hardening processes. Reviewed work instruction and procedures as well as controlled forms to ensure compliance with ISO 17000 and also reviewed content to make sure that the practices were current with industry standards. Hired on full time in January of 2013.

Each summer, I took a week and helped as a camp counselor for the Purdue University volleyball program during their General Skills, Elite and Team camps. There, I provided technical knowledge to younger athletes in a instructive manner. This requires being able to communicate to children of very different skill/ability levels and also keying in on how different children learn.

As the Varsity Assistant at Jeff, I worked with head coach Anna Haley to develop the skills of girls on the varsity team. I trained players and other coaches on how to keep stats using the iOS app SoloStats and uploaded and reported the stats to MaxPreps and to local news sources. I assisted in the preparation for multiple tournaments hosted at Jeff High School. I was involved in the fundraising for the program as well as planning for a youth volleyball program.Anna and I were co-coaches of the boy's JV volleyball team at Lafayette Jefferson. We worked with many boys whom for many, it was their first year playing volleyball. This required patience as they learned the strategy and simple concepts that are required to play volleyball at a high level. While we struggled to compete with some of the teams we were playing early in the year, by the end of the year we were not only competing with these same teams, we were beating them. In my second year with the girls program, I have taken over the JV team in order to develop the skills of the younger girls to prepare them for competition at the Varsity level. I also worked with Anna Haley during the off-season to run camps for different age groups, coach practices, and attended conditioning with the players.

I worked under head coaches Travis Fuller and Sara Sutter to develop the volleyball skills of girls on the freshman and junior varsity teams at McCutcheon High School. I prepared practice plans and coached games as well as mentored a group of girls. As a varsity assistant, my duties were to coach players from the bench, help prepare for games by providing strategic gameplans, and to help coach the varsity squad during the state tournament. During the 2013 sectional final I was asked to fill in for our lead assistant who called areas of the court for the server to serve to. Our team had a season high in aces that match with 14. We beat our county rival Harrison to win the sectional title.

Was asked to challenge the nationally ranked Purdue Boilermaker squad on a daily basis. This required me to balance my schedule so that my classes were not affected by another time commitment.

Worked in the Met Lab and cut, mounted, polished and evaluated samples for case depth and microstructure. Assisted in the development and implementation of a induction hardening machine and process. Analyzed data and was asked to find trends to deduct how parts should be run. Also participated in some failure analysis.
