I also led a lot of transaction research with respect to various expense GL's on a monthly basis, in order to keep expenses consistent and in the correct GL and cost center. I created and routinely maintained approximately 25 spreadsheets that specifically tracked our highly used expense GL's, including Data Processing, Advertising, Professional Fees, Meals & Travel, among others. One of my most useful spreadsheets was solely tracking all FIS expenses, as this was one of the largest vendors the bank used and expense hit several GL's in several cost centers. Met and communicated with each line of business manager to discuss their respective areas and report on their financials. I made routine journal entries on a monthly basis as well as journal entries as-needed to correct any previous entries that other users may have made.
