Responsible for supporting the budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and providing strategic expense management to the leadership within Annuities Investment Management, Product Solutions, and the Individual Investment Solutions (IIS) team and leading the development and analysis of strategic initiative business cases that impact these areas. Manager, Financial Reporting• Responsible for the review and analysis of the Retirement business unit’s quarterly and annual GAAP and Statutory income tax provisions, including financial statement income tax reporting (ASC 740) and annual statutory income tax reporting (SSAP101). Responsible for the review and preparation of Retirement business unit’s non-Life subsidiaries quarterly and annual income tax provisions.• Responsible for the preparation and review of the Retirement business unit quarterly multi-year tax planning and analysis, including GAAP and SSAP101 multi-year forecasting and plan analysis for Retirement legal entities. Provide analysis to management on drivers of income tax expense changes and income tax payments. Responsible for coordinating inter-entity cash tax settlements.• Assist in tax accounting documentation on special projects and product on-boarding.• Calculate and record Retirement business unit Premium Tax accruals calculation, analysis and reporting. • Responsible for the Quarterly Expense Reporting included in the Quarterly Earnings Deck, which includes partnering with the business unit expense group and Prudential’s Financial Shared Services Expense team to ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis.• Serve as the Corporate Controllers Retirement liaison to Corporate Treasury, with duties that include partnering with Corporate Treasury to complete the quarterly attestation of enterprise broad reaching covenants. Liaison and gate keeper of Retirement inter-affiliate legal agreements, which includes partnering with legal department to insure complete and accurate inventory of inter-affiliated legal agreements for the Retirement business unit. Responsible for annual review recertification of inter-affiliated legal agreements within Retirement.

• Responsible for the preparation and review of the company’s income tax compliance, including financial statement income tax reporting (FAS 109) and annual statutory income tax reporting (SSAP 10).• Responsible for the preparation and review of Federal and State income tax compliance including the General Re Corporation consolidated federal property and casualty and life insurance tax returns and reporting requirements to its parent company Berkshire Hathaway.• Responsible for the preparation of domestic tax filings for the company’s foreign related entities, including Form 5471’s and combined group Form 1118. • Review premium tax returns, sales & use tax, and property tax returns; assist in tax planning for both domestic and international projects; assist in the management of property tax and sales and use tax audits.
