In this position, I was hired to lead a significant transformation for underperforming stores, which signaled the need to open new stores in the Utah region, and the development and distribution of sorely needed SOPs for operational guidance and team leadership mandates. Led strategic planning, monitoring, and maximizing of the company’s retail budget, product inventory, purchasing, and sales. Directed teams of 80 employees in multiple stores and traveled to guide and mentor staff and identified significant growth across all budgets.➥ Evaluated P&Ls with the financial officer, to define cost appropriation for promotional and marketing efforts. ➥ Liaised with the HR department in recruiting, onboarding, and training new teams and leaders for multiple stores. ➥ Improved the new Sandy store’s revenue stream in the first year, resulting in finishing under the labor budget, and a higher employee retention rate. ➥ Reinvigorated employee referral program, attracting talent with better skill sets and more focused on sales strengths.

In this position, I joined the company to lead teams in defining the solutions and resolutions of security issues in dealing with high theft and shrinkage in a difficult store location. I directly supervised six managers and over 300 associates. Controlled product inventory and identified variances with daily sales and product matrix breakdown. Performed interviews and testing procedures on all pre-qualified job applicants. Minimized store turnover by focusing on the retention of associates. Analyzed P&L statements, financial and sales reports, and inventory to define and implement improvements. ➥ Resolved many store issues by creating three mini-stores across departments that required separate checkout areas, which were successful in eliminating most of the theft. ➥Substantially reduced shrink losses in the first year. ➥Coordinated all efforts to open two new stores in Salt Lake City, and Nashville. Hired teams, created floor plans, purchased fixtures for both stores and ensured an excellent product assortment focused on consumer needs. ➥The Nashville store openings generated a substantial revenue stream, delivering approximately $70M annually, continually exceeding financial forecasts. ➥Cultivated a strong base of employees with exceptional retention rates, generated through inclusiveness, and a focus on the work-life balance.
