Actively led 45 personnel in accomplishing all training objectives for ACU-4 and ensured graduation of over 100 students to the Landing Craft Air Cushion (naval hover craft) program. Directly responsible for supporting all aspects of basic Landing Craft training to include Full Mission Trainers, Advanced Qualifications, and all courses used to qualify all East Coast students in order to provide combat ready craft crews that fully meet operational tasking world wide. Adjusted instruction programs to conform to training syllabuses and manuals and developed new training curriculum for Landing Craft. Along with training to meet forward deployed missions to the Persian Gulf, also led training to support three craft for disaster relief in Galveston, TX from Hurricane Ike.

Actively led 35 divisional personnel and 3 fire teams consisting of 90 personnel which was the largest and most diverse divisional workforce onboard. Responsible for ship’s survivability systems to include the control of damage, stability, list, trim, fighting fires, controlling flooding, restoration from damage, flight deck safety, and all chemical, biological, radiological, defense measures. Delegated responsibilities and directed the actions for numerous toxic gas, flooding, and fire fighting casualty control procedures throughout the ship for 350 personnel. Coordinated all ship survivability matters, including the ship damage control training program and in command of the training and support for 350 personnel to execute the ship’s survivability instructions.

Actively led a weapons organization of 18 people. Responsible for ship’s war fighting capabilities to include two Rolling Airframe Missile Launching Systems, two Close In Weapon Systems, the Ship Self Defense System, 50 caliber and M60 machine guns, and 25MM optical sight machine guns. Qualified over 600 people in the 9mm, M14, M16, and shotgun. As Force Protection Officer, responsible for writing, planning, and execution of all force protection measures for 6 Suez Canal transits, 19 port visits, and while deployed to 5th fleet in support of the War on Terrorism. As Legal Officer, processed 55 Non Judicial Punishment packages and wrote correctional custody orders, restriction orders, and court continuances for 73 disciplinary cases.

Directly responsible for the administrative packages for over 4000 students to include Plebe Summer Administration for 1000 new Midshipman, separations from the United States Naval Academy, and pending legal cases. Supervised, trained, and evaluated supervisory staff members on all administrative manners of making all government military IDs, record keeping, and filing. Issued 1,235 ID Cards and 1000 fingerprint files for the Class of 2008. Directly responsible for all official reports and correspondences for USNA.
