As a part of the Special Education Team, the speech-language pathologist works with students, teachers, staff, and families to improve the communicative abilities and opportunities of students who may require support with articulation (clarity of speech), fluency (flow of speech), language (words understood and words used), pragmatics (socially accepted behaviors), hearing, and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC, alternative methods to communicating).
