Advanced R&D of novel combustion technologies enabling carbon-negative, on-demand, renewable power generation. Arbor power plants remove CO2 from the atmosphere while generating stable electricity for the grid.

Responsible engineer for flight acceptance testing and development engine testing of the RS1 rocket E2 sea-level engines (kerosene/lox liquid rocket engines).

Drove subsystem hardware development and testing through the first series of successful demonstrations of a novel kinetic launch system. Designed, oversaw, and validated upgrades to high-speed air-locks, hydraulic water braking system, component test rigs, data acquisition and analysis tools, and operational procedures.

Combustor and gas turbine hardware development, testing, and systems integration. Notable Projects: -Lead combustion analyst, 300 bar Syngas oxy-fuel supercritical CO2 combustor design for Dept. of Energy. -Demonstrated world’s first 295 bar Methane oxy-fuel supercritical CO2 combustor, 7 MW proof of concept, test engineer and combustion analyst. -Testing of advanced first-of-its-kind gas turbine seals for Pratt and Whitney F135 engine.-Rotordynamic rig testing for gas turbine bearings for Pratt and Whitney PW1100G engine.-Design, analysis, and modeling of power turbine fuel injectors.-Mechanical Design and Analysis

Designed and built facility upgrades for studying shock waves (Master’s Thesis).Performed pentane ignition study to improve a C1 - C5 hydrocarbon model.Speaker at the 51st AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and 2012 CSSCI Spring Technical Meeting.

Team designed, built and tested prototype vehicles for engineering student competition.Lead three-person drivetrain team for the Formula SAE 2011 and Baja SAE 2010 competitions.Won numerous top ten awards between vehicles.Managed USF’s largest budget of any student organization as treasurer.Collaborated with sponsors, part suppliers and teammates; mentored new members.
