Primarily a deal lawyer, my practice focuses on helping businesses develop and execute on strategic objectives, including through mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. I am also a trusted advisor to C-suite execs, owners and other leaders in all areas of business, corporate and securities law.I am adept at bringing business and legal skills to bear across industries and sectors, but have particular experience in the food and agribusiness industry, the retail industry, and the financial services sector. My clients range from small business owners to the largest Fortune 500 public companies. As a partner in the firm’s corporate group and based out of its largest office, I lead cross-disciplinary teams for our clients and also work to advance the firm’s efforts to recruit, retain and develop great young lawyers.When not practicing law, I spend as much quality time as I can with my wife Casey and our two fast-growing but still young boys. I also enjoy biking, grilling, and spending time at our lake cabin in Northwestern Wisconsin.
