As an Authorized Provider at the Texas Education Agency and a Lead Instructional Specialist at the Dallas Independent School District, I have more than 20 years of active experience in coaching and leading educators with expertise in reading. I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching, and approaching completion of a certification as a Professional Coach from the International Coaching Federation. I also have a CLASS Observer PK-3 credential from Teach stone. I am passionate about enhancing the quality of instruction and learning outcomes for students and teachers, especially in the area of reading. I have contributed to the development and implementation of the Texas Reading Academy, a statewide initiative to improve the literacy skills of pre-K through third grade students. I have also supported multiple schools and districts in adopting and applying evidence-based practices and strategies for reading instruction and assessment. I have held multiple role ranging from campus based, administrative, and central office positions as well as I value collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, and I seek to empower and inspire educators to achieve their professional and personal goals. I am eager to join a diverse and dynamic team of professionals who share my vision and mission for advancing literacy and education.
