Benchling is a software company supporting the biotech sector, with a mission to speed up the pace of scientific discovery.Responsibilities:- Designed and built the core data model for internal analytics at Benchling, the model which is used for all product analytics at the company today. - Implemented an overhaul of the analytics tracking system used at Benchling to capture data in a way that was both intuitive for our engineers and straightforward for our analysts.- Built end-to-end product metrics for several products, including the second-most-used product at Benchling, the Developer Platform (API and SDK), Insights (Benchling's Tableau), and finance. Resulted in data-driven product roadmaps for the first time in the company's history.- Built analyses, dashboards, and ETLs using Mode, Looker, dbt, and Snowflake, among other tools. This created company-wide tools are used by all teams, both individually and cross platform.- Created a novel system to safely refactor/clean up existing SQL code using dbt.
