• Conduct initial legal intakes• Represent domestic violence homicide victims to ensure estates of murdered familymembers are directed to the homicide victims and to ensure killers are not permittedto financially profit from murder• Represent victims of domestic violence assault to provide holistic legalrepresentation to obtain rights and remedies arising from the crimes in the variouscourt systems• Represent victims in family law matters including custody, visitation rights, and childsupport• Conduct legal research; draft letters; and provides victims will updates on the case incivil probate matters and civil family law matters• Represent victims in negotiations, mediations, and trial; communicates with opposingcounsel; and provide victims case updates.• Assist victims with obtaining Orders of Protection and responding to contestedOrders• Educate victims about their rights and the legal system• Assist victims with asset identification and recovery.• Work with county prosecutors, victim’s advocates, and agencies throughout Utah tocollaborate with providers for free legal services for crime victims.
