Major accomplishments include migrating front end content switching from Citrix Netscalers to HAProxy, migrating all non-time series data from DynamoDB and MySQL to Elasticsearch, introducing Bamboo builds and deployments, and buildout and management of all production Elasticsearch, Kafka, Storm and Zookeeper clusters.

Environment consisted of 300+ web nodes running Apache mod_perl fronted by F5 and Brocade load balancers and backed by PostgreSQL and Couchbase. Accomplishments include buildout of second datacenter with layer 2 connectivity to primary datacenter, automating release process, transforming monitoring from minimal PRTG to in depth, full stack visibility including collection of real time performance and financial metrics of advertising platform and automating server provisioning with Puppet.
