Stinson LLP attorneys have handled all aspects of litigation in courtrooms in a broad range of matters, from the routine to the complex. Our attorneys are often recognized for their work in "bet the company" matters, where the outcome will significantly impact a client's operations. As results-oriented advocates, we understand that our clients need to have disputes resolved quickly, economically and successfully. Our courtroom success has allowed us to serve as national coordinating counsel for many of our clients, including those in such industries as pharmaceutical, retail, manufacturing and finance. We represent clients in state, federal, tribal and other courts and tribunals throughout the United States. We recognize that successfully resolving disputes does not have to happen in the courtroom, and in fact we often resolve matters without litigation by conducting investigations, engaging in pre-suit negotiations and employing alternative dispute-resolution (ADR) procedures such as arbitration and mediation. Thus, our ability to litigate is balanced by a strong ADR practice, and we utilize those processes when the situation demands it.When litigation is inevitable, we are well prepared to represent clients efficiently, but aggressively. For example, with support from our Information Governance practice, we are able to offer a multidisciplinary approach to the electronically stored information (ESI) and e-discovery aspects of litigation, which can often consume a large percentage of a litigation budget. Our attorneys are assisted by paralegals, litigation support professionals and information technology staff. It is this interdisciplinary approach to document management that has allowed us to be named as national discovery counsel by many of our clients. Moreover, peer law firms have expressed their confidence in us as evidenced by the significant number of referrals for litigation in our geographic footprint.
