I've been fortunate to be a part of numerous outstanding real estate and hospitality organizations. From time to time, I often step back and ask myself, “What have I learned?” And the answer is always the same. The good ones, regardless of industry, all seem to have one common denominator… great people. They’re certainly the reason for most of my own successes.My understanding of ‘great people’ has evolved over the years. What started as a quest to surround myself with intelligent, talented, and fun people developed into an understanding that those same people (and me) must be authentically aligned with the organization’s mission and values. When you have that, you can install or tweak your processes to reach unimaginable heights.Businesses tend to make themselves more complicated than necessary. My mission is to help organizations get out of their own way and thrive using my ‘secret’ tools - (1) ensuring the right people are in the right spots (2) simplifying core processes and (3) creating a culture of accountability. Following this simple plan has helped me achieve unprecedented levels of business success.I also drink the Kool-Aid from books such as Gino Wickman’s “Traction” and “Get a Grip”. The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) also gets my full endorsement but I must admit, I am struggling a bit in figuring out how to apply that system to my own home renovation projects.
