I am an experienced administrator, researcher, practitioner, and leader in the field of higher education in both Canada and the United States.My work been recognized for building authentic and effective teams — both in practice and research settings — along with my skills and abilities in (a) research design and methodology/methods, (b) intentionally engaging equity and inclusion, (c) critical thinking, and (d) leadership, people, and project management.My scholarship concentrates on (1) factors affecting student success (e.g., access, characteristics, engagement) and (2) issues affecting administrators and leaders working in higher education settings (e.g., workplace mindsets, budget, public opinion, bureaucracy). My latest journals and book chapters focus on: introducing a revised student development model to address needs of Asian international students employee wellbeing and satisfaction of student affairs professionals working in Canada and the United States, “ideal worker” norms within gendered organizations, organizational change that considers student success frameworks, and innovating human ecological models for higher education research.
