Axial is the largest online marketplace connecting private companies to capital. Capital providers, bankers/advisors and private companies use Axial to identify and close M&A and growth financing deals.

Responsible for managing ecommerce organization, supporting multiple large scale ecommerce platforms with more than $700MM in annual revenue transactions processed. Led technical modernization effort of Nutrisystem's eCommerce technology landscape to a world-class eCommerce platform capable of supporting growth to over $1 Billion in revenues annually.Additionally, drove the redesign effort for Nutrisystem.com to deliver a world-class, industry leading user experience, focused on improving customer acquisition, optimizing conversion, and increasing customer lifetime value.Led Nutrisystem's international expansion efforts through the creation and launch of Nutrisystem.ca, Nutrisystem's expansion into the Canadian marketplace.Managed the buildout and launch of Nutrisystem's highly successful community website, leading to a highly engaged and robust community that enriched the Nutrisystem customer experience and delivered measurable results to Nutrisystem's bottom line.

Managed Product Management group focused on leading strategy development and user experience design for Scholastic's leading online properties. Activities included everything from initial concept development, wireframing and visual design, html and specification development, to post-product customer support.Led the complete redesign of Scholastic.com, leading to a modernized, industry leading site focused on support of teachers and teaching. Redesigned site was a recipient of a Webby award for its category.

-- Managed a globally distributed application engineering team, with locations in the US and Europe.-- Leveraged full compliment of open-source technologies to implement high volume, distributed J2EE web platform. (JBoss, Linux, Apache, Hibernate, Spring, Linux, etc).-- Provided architectural design leadership, reviewing and revising existing architecture to improve quality and productivity.-- Instituted process, procedures, and organizational structure necessary to support a large scale, complex project spanning multiple continents.

Managed department responsible for development of all corporate Java and J2EE based systems, including high-volume eCommerce websites (30+ sites, 150,000 unique daily visitors) and internal Inventory Management and Demand Forecasting systems

-- Acted as client engagement manager for Dicks Sporting Goods (dsports.com) and ZanyBrainy.com.-- Managed the design, development, and operations for both sites leveraging internally custom developed J2EE commerce platforms.

Supported the worldwide organization of Andersen Consulting in their “Applied R&D” efforts, with a focus on planning, design, and implementation of object-oriented and component based systems. Technologies leveraged included C++, Java, CORBA, Rational Rose and MQSeries. Responsible for the incubation of new technologies, growth of firm knowledge capital, and enablement of projects seeking to use these emerging technologies.
