Key representations include advice and litigation related to entertainment (including profit participation disputes) and emerging technologies (including a major social media network and a fintech company) and professional malpractice defense (most notably defending an international law firm in a case against a high-interest lender in connection with a “tribal lending” program designed to avoid state usury laws). Extensive experience with discovery and eDiscovery issues in high-stakes litigation, including first-chairing more than a dozen depositions and managing large-scale document reviews involving dozens of contract attorneys. Pro bono work includes representation of plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit alleging that certain policies and practices of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency violate the Fourth Amendment and advice to a client working to facilitate housing for homeless veterans on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs West Los Angeles campus.
