Dedicated team leader with 15 years of experience in product design, including 12 years in management. I develop and manage product design and launch workflows–from market research and concept development through to production. I have designed and launched more than 100 new products in various industries; including education, lighting, photo booths and furniture.Most recently, I have been leading the product development team at Copernicus as we strive to radically reduce the environmental impact of our products and manufacturing processes.Highlights:-Grew the New Product Development and Engineering department at GVA Lighting and led the team to commercialize an innovative new lighting technology with a suite of 12 new lighting products-Lead my team to develop and launch a stationary bike designed specifically for kids in schools; helping students self-regulate for improved behavioral outcomes-Rapidly launched a new line of 20+ cleaning and sanitizing products to address shifting customer needs during covid–including a UL listed UV sanitizing chamber launched in less than 6 months. This product line generated more than $1m in sales in the first year-Expanded the the bamboo product line at Copernicus from 1 to 13 unique designs (and counting); with an average carbon footprint reduction of ~40% compared to similar steel and plastic designs-Launched one of the first photo booth rental companies in Ontario; grew it from 1 to 9 active photo booths; generating annual revenues in excess of $250kOutside of work, if I am not with my family and friends, you can find me in my shop, building furniture.
