I have been in the pharmacy industry for almost 10 years, starting from the bottom as a pharmacy assistant and using hard work and determination to become the Pharmacist Manager. I am currently managing the Capestone Village Chemist Warehouse, where I lead a team of dedicated staff members in assisting customers needs. I have extensive expertise in patient counselling (specializing in diabetes care), webster packing, giving immunisations, the legal and ethical aspects of pharmacy, and mentoring intern pharmacists. I have worked for small independent pharmacies, all the way up to Australia's biggest pharmacy chain, with teams between 1 and 30 staff members. I am always happy to work independently as a solo pharmacist, or as a member of a team. Recently I have decided to turn my passion of computing and programming into a career opportunity by enrolling at Griffith University in a Bachelor of Computer Science. I am currently studying full time, as well as working full time, and hope to complete my degree with the next few years. Where possible, I try to blend what I have (or am currently) learning from Computer Science into my everyday work by providing solutions using Python, C, and my ability to collect, organise and analyse data to enhance my quality and productivity of work.My dream is to build a career where I can blend my knowledge and expertise from working in pharmacy with aspects of computer science.
