While on internship with Boeing, I wrote software to configure a blank Windows Server 2016 image into US government certified Secure Host Baseline that can be used in areas requiring a security clearance. I also created a software tool to automate the process of installing all of the necessary software to set up flight simulators. Additionally, I produced a hardware retrofit ATP to update the computers that run flight simulations.

At Caterpillar I wrote asynchronous encryption software optimized for use in a standard CAN bus system. This software was designed to ensure the security of a machine's internal CAN bus when an outside party has unlimited physical access to the machine. I also designed and preformed a series of tests to assist in the development of a BLE-based personnel detection system meant for use by autonomous machines in an underground mining environment. Additionally, I built, debugged, and preformed EMC testing on a large wiring harness used for the camera system of an autonomous blast drill.

During my time at Haldex I designed and developed a reverse motion detection system for semi-trailers that is lower cost, more responsive, and is easier to install than any product currently on the market. I also developed and demonstrated a proof of concept for an independent trailer soft-docking system utilizing ultra-sonic sensor technology.
