About Brandon West

I'm a relationship-first technical leader with 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing industry. My experience spans sterile injectables across a variety of presentations, lyophilized finished dosage forms, terminal sterilization, aseptic manufacturing, bioprocessing, and cell culture. My roles have spanned Quality Investigations, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Validation, Process Sciences, Technical Services, and Technology Transfer. I'm currently working as Manager, Technical Support Commercial Manufacturing, in the MS&T Global Technical Solutions Group at CSL Seqirus Vaccines, and am based out of Holly Springs, NC, USA. I'm an Alum of North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering, concentrating in Biomaterials. Technical interests lie in the materials side of the medical field, placing emphasis on the materials chosen to be used in the human body, medical devices, and medical equipment. A few areas I find particularly interesting are implants, prosthetics, vaccines, aseptic processing, drug delivery, medical textiles, and biomedical equipment or device manufacturing.Personally, I enjoy kayaking, disc golf, bowling, the outdoors and cooking. I like to travel, watch sports, and I coach a local youth basketball team. My favorite US city is Austin, TX and my favorite type of food is seafood. Specialties: Regulatory Compliance, Technical Leadership, cGMP Manufacturing, Process Development, Process Design, Technology Transfer, Scale-Up, Process Validation, Statistical Process Control, Risk Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Bulk Manufacturing, Upstream Processing, Buffer and Media Preparation
