Part Time - Summers and Fill In Shifts. As the host of a busy nationally franchised restaurant I am “trusted” every evening to be the face of the restaurant for over 200+ customers each day. Duties include, following corporate guidelines concerning public interaction, state and federal hospitality guidelines for operations and food safety, monitor food delivery by delivery crews, and settle service and monetary discrepancies with guests. While guests are waiting to be seated or waiting for take-out orders, it is my job to ensure that the guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times. The host is often responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties. On occasion the host is also responsible for taking initial drink orders.
