Active Transportation Planner
CurrentAt the City of Mountain View, I review public and private street designs for active transportation compliance with City plans and standards as well as all national and state best practices of design. I am extremely fluent with NACTO, ITE, AASHTO, and relevant local and state guidelines. I am also the project lead for the creation of the Active Transportation Plan and other corridor-level planning projects underway. I manage our internship program, providing mentorship and career growth for our future planners. But one of the best parts of my job is working with our Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) and local community members to make sure the work we do matches the goals of the community. I help them grow a stronger, healthier, more active city.
