Senior developer leading a team of two other developers in the support and maintenance of a 3rd party ERP packaged called SX.e. Duties included speaking with users to gather information about their needs, creating design specifications, providing development leadership on small and large projects, mentoring junior programmers, provide testing guidance for internal IT staff, and being the primary point of contact for the user community regarding issues with the ERP system. Provided all internal DBA activities as necessary. Reported to Manager of Information Technology.

Full-Time employed consultant responsible for traveling to clients to provide additional resources for large development initiatives. Work focused on implementing and integrating software written in Progress 4GL exclusively. Designed, coded, and tested bug fixes, enhancements, and new custom development at a number of customer sites on a wide variety of platforms. Provided expert recommendations for customers struggling with how to integrate their ERP systems. Clients included: Caterpillar, Menards, QAD Inc., and GE Healthcare (formerly Ohmeda).

Hired to spearhead a team responsible for migration of an AS/400 legacy system to a Progress-based ERP package. Responsible for defining requirements, establishing processes and standards, implementing data conversions and working closely with users to define a workable user interface.

Primary developer responsible for the support, maintenance, enhancement, and customization of a third-party ERP system running a shelving manufacturing business. Acted as lead for development activities, created design specifications, worked directly with users to define requirements, performed quality assurance activities, documented processes and mentored others in the Progress programming language. Performed backup Database Administrator and Unix Administrator activities when necessary.

Customer liaison and support for company developing clinical information systems for hospitals in Texas, Iowa, and Illinois. Developed new software, fixed bugs, and executed all Quality Assurance tasks. Provided DG/UX system administration and coordinated all software releases – new versions to patch level.
