Manages, plans, directs, and coordinates all activities at a main Exchange, branches, and locations to include Navy Lodge, vending operations, services operations ( uniform services, tailoring, dry cleaning, barber/beauty shops, storage and food service ) at NCBC Gulfport MS and Stennis Space Center. Broad managerial duties include, but are not limited to, the following:- Makes periodic and frequent inspections of all activities and outlets, identifying areas of deficiency. Directs the correction of deficiencies and follows up to assure that prompt and proper corrective action has been taken.- Ensures maximum and full utilization of all facilities, equipment, cash and associates.- Responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives of the NEXCOM business strategy, basic policies and programs. Reviews and analyzes operational reports to ensure that goals set for each operational department are achieved; initiates corrective action when goals are not met.- Supervises operation through subordinate supervisory staff. Approves leave and vacation; enforces work rules, establishes internal operating policies and procedures and initiates programs or projects to serve mission needs. Interviews and selects associates, completes performance appraisals. Reviews proposed disciplinary actions and resolves grievances and complaints.- Ensures through subordinate staff, receipt, price marking, storage, custody and proper administration and documentation under the various control procedures applicable to the receipt of merchandise.- Ensures through subordinate managers the implementation, administration, and coordination of all phases of the Exchange Security, Safety, and Fire Protection/Prevention Programs.- Ensures that an effective sales promotion program, provided by NEXCOM is implemented to generate increased sales and traffic. Secret (S) Security Clearance.

• Set clear expectations and holding the team and self accountable for results. • Visit stores daily• Execute customer focused strategies as measured by Customer Satisfaction.• Selects, develops and manages performance of individuals and teams, measured by appropriate performance reports. • Focuses and invests time in stores on customer facing activities and processes. • Ensures every store is location certified and every associate is role certified to do his/her job; has primary accountability for Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager role certification. • Monitors and proactively addresses outliers.• Create and maintains a culture of winning that resonates with associates. • Expects and inspects retail processes and standards• Provides first person coaching on the development of action plans based on Customer Satisfaction and sales. • Leads ways to satisfy customers at store level, find ways to say yes. • Coach and develop leader’s two levels down, creating an environment where associates can be successful. • Focuses the entrepreneurial energy of teams on delivering banner customer service and pride. • Create a strong bench of talent.• Leads and embeds • Rigorously inspects our standardized operating model for consistency across all stores within the district. • Creates a selling culture that will meet or exceed sales plans. • Drives and monitors store level margin drivers.• Controllable cost plans and identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities. • Communicates opportunities and solutions that will allow teams to meet/exceed profit plans. • Provides team with fact-based, real time feedback on the product including assortment, pricing, inventory flow, marketing support, transition/exit strategies, etc. • Utilizes standard reporting provided by company to measure and achieve desired outcomes and address outlier opportunities. • Consistently provide a sense of urgency to maintain standards while obtaining associate buy-in.
