About Brandy Clements
4th generation chair weaver on a mission to perpetuate the traditional craft of chair seat weaving. My husband and I operate Silver River Center for Chair Caning, the nation's only chair caning school & museum. Find us online at www.SilverRiverChairs.com and visit our @silverriverchairs channel on YouTube. Silver River is an official education center of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. We are members of the American Craft Council, The Furniture Society, The SeatWeavers' Guild, and the River Arts District Association.We teach online and in-person in our school in the River Arts District and offsite at John C Campbell Folk School, Arrowmont, Penland, The Island Farm, and we do hands-on demonstrations and lectures for museums, craft shows, woodworking organizations, furniture conferences, and K-university classes. We teach kids, adults, and unsuspecting strangers that find themselves in our presence.
