In December of 2015 I graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I began my nursing career working in Willis Knighton Health System's Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in January 2016. Over the course of my career with Willis Knighton Health System (WKHS) I worked in their MICU, Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), briefly in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). I spent time as a charge nurse for both the MICU and the SICU. When the pandemic hit, I charged in the Covid-ICU as well. I also worked for WKHS's flex pool nursing where I worked throughout all four of Willis Knighton's main hospitals, from working in the emergency room department to medical surgical and any other adult units in between. In April 2023 I took on the position as the Director of Nursing at Willis Knighton's Extended Care Center which is a short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, however the rules and regulations closely follow the same rules and regulations set by CMS for long term care facilities. In May 2024 I graduated with my Master of Science in Nursing Administration. I am looking forward to advancing my career as a Nurse Executive/ Nurse Administrator.
