I am a first year student at Macomb Community College, I am currently focusing on getting my associates degree in Entrepreneurship. I am a second year business owner/partner at Double D Concrete L.L.C. With goals of developing my managerial skill and expanding our business. We pride ourselves on our quality of work, our communications with customers, and attention to details. Personal skills that help the business flourish include being adaptable, hard working, self motivated, and organized.I've spent many years in positions which I had to manage over clients, staff, and routines. Being structured, detail orientated and motivating I have always been given the leadership role. Like many companies, we started the company to provide a workplace with a family style feel. After years of working unions, or corporate jobs we banded together a group of people who were looking for something more personal. With skilled labor and finishers we made the investment to jump in with without looking back. We encourage hard work, commitment and personal responsibility and in return we try be understanding and empathetic to each employees personal lives. These are areas each of our employees felt their previous employers failed. Watching a project develop from an idea (proposal) to the finished product is an enjoyable opportunity. Taking areas that are undeveloped or run down and creating something beautiful to please a customer makes the job rewarding. Which encourages our employees to do their personal best.
