Helping find or come up with best practices and set up 6S in areas, making things run smoother and ensuring best production rates compared to other sites . Write SOP'S thru out our facilty for production and for Oracle Office Duties. Handle Returns and Reshipps or Scrapping. Handle putting together employee gifts and giveaways using scrap as cost savings and finding green more cost effective ways to dispose of or recycle scrap vs. sending to a landfill. Purchase Order Verification in SAP – (Print Status Page Hard Copy, Attach to the Packing slip, Verify matches what receiving dept. received in, label every part with SAP # or Consumables label or OTP {One-Time-Purchase} label, & put away or stage for mechanics weekend/daily work list.) PM Planning & Operator PM’s – Make OMS {Operational Method Sheets} for each PM by learning from Manual & Mechanics how to complete PM myself so that I know an operator can actually do it, make step by step instructions w/pics using Visio, or Lucidchart Chrome App. Contact Vendors/OEM for recommended PM’s with times, update Maintenance Manuals for all machinery and get digital copies to save to share drive, TECO & Confirm all Operator PM’s once completed & enter all related Work Requests aka Notifications in SAP so Rob can assign the work to be completed or order parts to fix issue. Quality Assurance AuditorNordyne, Inc,. Jan 2006 - Dec 2011Auditing the "Split-System" Outside Air Conditioner units was my primary responsability, however, I was cross-trained to audit or run production on EVERY line in the facility as either Quality Auditor or Production Lead!!!! I would pull up to 10% of all the units produced and look for cosmetic or functional errors or issues with the units, compare the units to the Bill of Materials for that given Sku #, and give it an overall score using the scoring system we had in place. I would then email the audit findings to the production management team and quality management team. We would work together to find corrective actions for each defect found and I would place units on hold for sampling and rework if any major faults were found during these audits, plus I also did a "process-audit" on up to 80% of all units produced on my lines. I would walk the line and catch errors in the BOM, or cosmetic quality issues before the units were finished. This allowed those mistakes or issues to be corrected real-time and avoided costly samples, holds, and rework teams and overtime. This was not required of me, but I started doing the process audits on my own in order to be a more productive resource of the overall company team and as a result, the 5 years I audited the Split Line units, there was NEVER a SINGLE customer returned unit from the Night Shift produced units that I audited!!! This was also due to me volunteerly auditing the sub-components we produced in-house before the material handlers brought those parts to the line for major defects that could effect the score of a unit the parts were to be placed on. I audited the Condensor Coils and Copper Tubing & Stainless Steel Jacketing that covers the coils all for defects and rejected them if any major defects were found so that they were not brought to the line in a defective state and installed on our units. This also greatly increased our audit scores leaving final BOM audit scores averaging around a high of 97% average BOM
