Founded Arizona Actors Academy to create a unique learning and working space for artistis with an emphasis on the work of Lee Strasberg and Sandy Meisner. Cornerstone of its mission is to build a diverse and inclusive community for anyone seeking this specialized study in theater arts. Only one generation away from Lee Strasberg himself, being the protégé of Barbara Poitier and Sandra Seacat, her passion for teaching it has sent her down a unique path to reframe his work, particularly in Relaxation and Sensory for the 21st Century. Feeling that this work is misunderstood, she has dedicated her teaching career to making Strasberg's remarkable innovations in natural acting accessible and available. Lee Strasberg’s methodical approach to relaxation, using the senses and sense memory, develops acute performer concentration to freely express through the whole body. Strasberg’s system is one of the earliest examples of a Western Somatic practice. The result is a safe approach for actors seeking the deepest truth in their work, the highest calibre of skill and unshakable confidence in their abilities. Innovated and developed a new approach to teaching Shakespeare. First Folio Shakespeare removes the stigma, mystery and intimidation from teaching actors Shakespeare by using the First Folio itself methodically, kinesthetically and with principles the modern actor understands and relates to.Brandy teaches Dreamwork for Actors as developed by Sandra Seacat it’s innovator and renowned acting coach. This unique and highly sought after approach connects the artsist to the wealth of creativity and inspiration living in the actors unconscious through dream assignments. As Sandra’s student since 1998, she has run specialized workshops and retreats on Dreamwork including one with Sandra Seacat herself in 2019. This turned out to be Sandra’s last one before her recent passing in 2023.
