As an administrator and former district coordinator / teacher, I have experience supporting students and staff members at all levels in and outside the classroom. As a professional development coordinator, I spent time developing workshop sessions that included unpacking standards, differentiating instruction, and creating assessments using the Assessments for Learning model.For the past 3 years I have been the principal at Celia Clinton Elementary School. My responsibilities included moving the school from a face-to-face learning environment to a completely online school and then morphing into a hybrid environment for students that are quarantined. I have done this while maintaining a full staff, never closing our school/grade levels, and increasing our attendance each month. I have also been responsible for restructuring our Title 1 budget to meet the needs of students that have been out of school during the pandemic. This includes putting an emphasis on Social Emotional Learning and increasing the justice, inclusion and belonging for all staff and students. I have just accepted a position as one of the Secondary Data Application Partners. In the position I will partner with district staff and principals to analyze school data to determine needs as well review current implementation of our current curriculum and instruction.
