With a Bachelor's in both Communication and Psychology, I've been able to apply my studies to the world of Human Resources. Having supported an HR department in two well known companies, I've grown immensely both personally and professionally since my graduation from UCSB. Working with a large fashion company, both in corporate and on the sales/visuals front, I've been able to further develop and tune my communication styles and my interactions with clients. In the Fall of 2016 I participated in Film and Media Studies at the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. This served as my introduction into the world of entertainment. I was able to gain some knowledge and insight into a part of pop culture that I had yet to see. After my graduation from UCSB, I worked for over a year in the Warner Bros Television department's HR team. There I began to learn more about HR as a function of business, and also learn to experience life on a Studio Lot. WB as a company helped my career growth by helping me become more comfortable with all sides of HR. Now that I am back with Forever 21 Corporate, I'm able to develop and fine tune my Employee Relations experience and grow more in my career. This position and department not only help me understand more of the more challenging side of HR, but also to better understand how a corporate office runs in America.
