Dress for Success Indianapolis is one of more than 150 Dress for Success affiliates in 30 countries worldwide. Its mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. As the Suits for Success Program Manager, I was responsible for managing the daily suiting program, training and cultivating volunteers, and maintaining relationships with partner agencies.► Conducted and supervised individual interview and work attire appointments for over 1,000 women annually with 1,214 served in 2014.► Managed daily volunteers who work one-on-one with clients in the Suits for Success program that provides one hour appointments where volunteers help select interview and work attire for clients. The Domestic Violence Network (DVN) leads the community in cultural change toward ending domestic violence. DVN works with the public to gather data, deliver better resources, and engage with influencers. The mission of DVN is to change the culture that leads to domestic violence through advocacy, education and collaboration in the community at large. As the Communications Manager, I was responsible for promoting and raising awareness about DVN and domestic abuse within the community, creating a marketing plan, and planning community outreach events.► Represented DVN in the community, managing public relations and communication projects, while supporting the organization’s programs.► Developed and produced various print collateral materials including annual reports, promotional materials, brochures, posters and flyers.► Supervised and maintained the organization’s website including content updates, page modifications and calendar management. ► Collaborated with the board of directors and staff to develop and implement the organization’s marketing plan.► Coordinated events and community outreach programs impacting 750 people annually.
