Senior Network Engineer for a large MSP serving California and Nevada with responsibility for all network design and implementations. Design, implementation and maintenance of a large (300+ user) managed wireless network in a charter school. This included transferring all existing client machine and implementing them smoothly into the new infrastructure.Multiple migrations of Active Directory from legacy and failed environments to moder, robust and redundant systems. Managed the school wide IT team and infrastructure over three sites in a “Bring Your Own Device” environment. Source, manage and support team of international colleagues in department. Advise team members on appropriate professional development. Coach and mentor team members on daily task, functions and issues, as required. Assist other departments within the school in their IT requirements and needs including follow up and training.Planned, purchased and implemented new telephone, network, electrical, and building services infrastructure at two different international schools, both of which are spread out on multiple campuses. Projects completed on time and on budget.Planned, sourced and managed a major software implementation to include working with programers in the US and in Switzerland. This was done with repeated changes and updates and completed on time at each release date. New releases were done quarterly.Sourced, selected and hired IT professionals from diverse backgrounds and with various skill sets. Successful in making the IT department a unique environment as we had employees from six nations. Implemented an apprenticeship program which required tracking, training and reporting to the local educational authority.Planned and executed conversion of 1600 users from O365 environment to G-suite. All user accounts were honored and no data lost. Merge of AD to Google authentication. Done with no end user downtime.Involved with the development of an internal catering department to include staffing needs and hiring. As this was a new concept to the school, I lead the search for appropriate food service professionals who could support our unique requirements. Implemented in 2017.
