As a student volunteer at Monterey Bay Aquarium, I support the education department in creating and building a GIS database. Data collection, interpretation, and analysis. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Science with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems from California State University, Monterey Bay. My senior capstone project focused on identifying and mapping the high-risk areas within underserved communities on the central California coast, in relation to climate-induced events. I used ArcGIS Pro to collect, organize, and analyze spatial data, and to produce a visual interpretation of the results. I have strong research and data collection skills, and I am proficient in spatial data management and analytics. My professional goal is to continue working, learning, and growing in the field of GIS-related projects.
