I lectured 600+ pre-med STEM students in the "Structure of Organic Molecules" course. I also managed 15+ graduate student teaching assistants (TAs) and undergraduate learning assistants (LAs). Additionally, students learned about flexible electronic sensors as they relate to future human health monitoring systems.

As a graduate research fellow in the James E. Hutchison and Darren W. Johnson Labs (co-advised), I designed, synthesized and characterized aqueous based metal nanoscale clusters as solution precursors for metal oxide thin films. This work led to peer reviewed publications, a U.S. patent, an American Chemical Society (ACS) research talk, and a presentation at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in Washington, D.C.

I helped develop new synthetic routes for inorganic oxidants and slurry mixtures using state of the art chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) techniques. I assisted in improving scale up and efficiencies leading to new product developments and waste minimization through an electrochemistry based method. The reported findings were presented to industry experts both internal and external.

Through a program called "Lens of the Market" I investigated new market opportunities for laboratory based innovations in the conductive inks and e-textiles marketplaces. In collaboration with my team we produced full market reports including, market size, competitive landscapes, customer segments, predicted growth rates, value chains, and industry specific regulations.

I was an undergraduate research intern in the Nano Engineered Systems and Transport (NEST) Lab of Baratunde Cola where I worked on electrochemical thermogalvanic cells with carbon nanotube (CNT) electrodes and how ionic liquids may be employed as solution electrolytes for this system.

I designed manganese coated gold based nanowires for battery electrodes using a patented lithographically pattern nanowire electrodeposition (LPNE) process in the Reginald M. Penner Lab.

I synthesized copper based nanocrystals to be used as thin film precursors for CIGS solar cells for the Center for Green Materials Chemistry in the Darren Johnson Lab.
