I am a man of many talents and experiences, having worked in many different industries. I have worked as a captain/skipper, professional fisherman, an automotive spare parts manager, a farmer of cattle and high density horticulture, a saw miller, an underground miner and a hardware manager ,Business Development Manager, Business Manager as well as a keynote, motivational, safety and mental health awareness speaking.My biggest challenge is to actively push safety in the workplace, assafety is something that I hold dear to my heart. After I was involved in the 2006 Beaconsfield Mine disaster, where I was trapped for two weeks, I have put my heart and soul into supporting rescue organisations. They are my heroes, not only for reuniting me with my family, but for really driving the push for safety in the workplace. I now have a heightened sense of the need to be safe in the workplace.I joined Black dog institute as a presenter after seeing the covid fallout - anxiety, were I meet the most genuine bloke Kevin Hughes and we started Australian speakers - two Ausie Larkins
