In the summer of 2022, I left a successful corporate role to pursue different opportunities. While one door closed (you know the saying...), "another one opened." This journey led to the opening of my business, Brass Monkey. Designs. I build furniture and other home goods designed and tailored to fit your wants and needs. I've long held a passion for woodworking and while this was never the stated goal, I'm excited and fortunate to be able to lean into my passion and build this company into a reality. It's surreal stepping away from the security of a salaried position, venturing out on your own, but I'm here for it.

I led a fantastic and highly capable team engaged in multiple facets of our marketing organizations’ accountabilities which includes strategic initiatives, budget development, and overall team management. Metrics and further details can be provided upon request.In Product Development, my group launched and maintained all “water-driven proportioning systems.” The product launch cycle is yearly to bi-yearly, so while new product development is critical, a majority of my time spent was spent on continual oversight of current, recently launched, and legacy products. In the past few years, we've done some pretty outstanding work, introducing new products that improve the way our customers do business, creating greater efficiencies for them, and improving worker safety.In Marketing Communications, our focus was on all messaging from DEMA to customers and media outlets. This includes web and print advertising, trade show presentation and staffing, customer newsletters and product update mailers, etc. We were also responsible for the successful development of new product literature, and videos both product and corporate. We focused on the latest trends in communication, always looking for new ways to interact with our customers. Finally, I oversaw our Sales Coordination team. Sales Coordinators work with Sales Managers and customers to implement projects, handle complaints, give on-site support to customers for their distribution programs.

As Marketing Manager, I managed a team responsible for marketing communications development, product management, and sales coordination. Projects on these teams were a mixture of tactical and strategic, and were often focused around the needs of customers.

As a Product Manager at DEMA, I was responsible for launching and maintaining all Water Driven Proportioning Systems. Our product launch cycle is yearly so while product development (from a marketing aspect) was a critical part of my role, continual oversight of current and legacy products was a significant part of my job as well.

This was a temporary assignment while seeking full-time employment. At Deisell Consultants, my role was two-fold: A Lean Six Sigma expert overseeing projects and as Direction of Client Relations. As a Lean Six Sigma expert, I oversaw the management of 10 Lean Six Sigma projects at a major Level 1 Trauma Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. As the Director of Client Relations, I managed client relationships from a high level with monthly touch-points to make sure our contract managed programs were running at their optimal levels, and customers were satisfied.

Supported CareerBuilder Government Solutions business unit's Department of Defense accounts. Primary responsibilities were to develop and launch new products to various branches of the military and train military recruiters on how to use those products. Primary responsibilities were Product Management and Account Management.The entire CareerBuilder Government Solutions team was dissolved in January 2012 and I was laid off at that time.

Managed the day to day responsibilities of a variety of CareerBuilder's customer base, providing training and in-depth support as required.
