Gas Processing facility for EnCana: Working on the design and engineering of the gas processing facility involving a slug catcher, Liquid-Liquid Separator, Stabilization unit, sales gas compression, Amine package and Refrigeration unit. Performed a relief and blowdown study and flare network in FlareNet for this gas processing facility to ensure the adequacy of the flare header and lateral sizing. Reviewed datasheets and Vendor documents on slug catcher, Acid Gas Compressor, etc.

Nova, Joffre, Alberta - PE1 Gas Phase West (R3) project – Worked as the area lead on the expansion and debottlenecking of the existing facility to handle increased ethylene flow for the third Polyethylene reactor. The scope included ethylene vaporizers, Hydrogen preheater, Ethylene and Iso propylene dryers, Hydrogen PSA unit and Catalyst handling. The effort included design deliverables like stamped P&ID, Line List, equipment, Instrument and Relief Valve calculations and datasheet, Vendor document / drawing review, etc.Williams Energy Canada Ltd (WECI), Redwater - Worked as the area lead for the debottlenecking of Redwater Olefins Fractionation Plant for Williams (plant located in Redwater, Alberta). The debottlenecking involved heat and material balance, tray design for depropaniser, debutaniser and Propane-Propylene splitter, checking the sizing calculation of air coolers and heat exchangers in HTRI and pump hydraulics. This was a brownfield expansion and involved FEED and detail engineering.AREVA RESOURCES CANADA INC, Saskatoon - 265ML JEB Mill Upgrade, McClean Lake – As part of a greenfield expansion, the project objective was to successfully build a 2nd Solvent Extraction train to extract uranium oxide from aqueous phase. Worked on the FEED and detail engineering of the project. Ensured system design meets all safety standards and regulatory criteria. Stamped and authenticated P&IDs for Construction.In addition to the above, the following projects had my involvement at Technip:• Worked on Heavy oil projects based on Mineable oil sands technology (froth treatment) for TOTAL. • Involved in cost estimation of debottlenecking of Primary Upgrader and Secondary Upgrader of CNRL. • Prepared overall material balance and heat integration using pinch analysis techniques suggested by Linhoff et al for a typical heavy oil unit based on SAGD technology.• Worked on a feed / conceptual phase activities of a LNG facility

Principal Process Engineer - Worked in various oil sands project, eg, Husky Tucker, Suncor Firebag. Since August 2009 to August 2011, worked as a lead process engineer in a 2 billion USD heavy oil project for PDO,Oman. The project included FEED, DD and procurement. The FEED involved simulation, H&MB and sizing of major equipment. The plant includes 2-phase separation, production fluid cooling and export, gas cooling and recovery, Steam generation facility, water treatment facility, Fuel gas letdown and handling and utilities. It also includes dynamic simulation in OLGA for flow assurance purposes. The DD mainly involved making appropriate data sheet for procurement, Hazop, IPF and vendor drawing / document review.
