Venture Development organization that invests in and works intensively with early stage Northeast Ohio companies across healthcare, cleantech, and IT industries. I led JumpStart Ventures, the team that worked with and invested in 50 companies that went on to raise hundreds of millions in angel, venture capital, strategic, and other funding. One JumpStart portfolio company, CoverMyMeds, became Ohio's first "Unicorn" (venture-backed company that reaches over $1 billion in value) company; another, Wireless Environment, was acquired by Ring which was then acquired by Amazon; and numerous others achieved strong exits so that cash on cash return of this non-profit evergreen fund was very strong.

As tech entrepreneur, I was a committee member for the task force that recommended the formation of JumpStart. I then joined as co-founder and became chief operating officer. I created the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence program, oversaw the EIR team, created the systems and processes for ensuring JumpStart was a high-velocity investor that assisted many companies and ultimately made investments in 10 seed stage companies per year, and oversaw other aspects of operations for this nationally recognized venture development firm.

I co-founded, led, and grew this venture-backed Midwestern company specializing in supplier management software and services. SupplierInsight eventually merged (in a stock merger) with Procuri in Atlanta and Procuri was then acquired by Ariba (now SAP Ariba) which which represented the exit for SupplierInsight investors.
