Chief Officer

Offshore World Wide

Since my promotion to Chief Officer in 2011, I have gained extensive experience operating in major offshore markets, covering regions from the northern coast of Norway to Cape Town, South Africa, and from the western coast of Ireland to the eastern regions of Malaysia and Australia. My work has included a combination of anchor handling, platform supply vessel (PSV) operations, and involvement in complex offshore projects. In addition to core anchor handling duties, I have been involved in major installations and mooring system projects. These include the installation of the Tension Leg Platform (TLP) Malikai and mooring systems for the Calzean and Amada 98/2 fields, as well as the Saitec Wind test area. I also managed change-out operations for mooring systems on high-profile assets such as the Baobab Ivorien MV10, the Serpentina Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit, the Gryphon FPSO, and the Anasuria FPSO.Beyond operational responsibilities, I was involved in the newbuilding programs, working on Master, Mobiliser, and Maker during the commissioning of vessels. Training and mentoring have also been integral aspects of my career. I have guided crew members, supported newbuild teams, and trained newly promoted captains, ensuring smooth transitions and enhancing team performance across projects.

Master

Master of the Mærsk Mover in Singapore at the brink of the outbreak of Covid-19.- At the start of 2020 the Covid-19 was still something only happening in China and east Asia. Since it was not an epidemic in Europe at that point, little help in preparing the vessel and crew for the pandemic ahead. Working closely with guidance from the Singaporean Ministry of Health on prevention of infection and setting up the vessel accordingly, with what became standard setup a few months later, the vessel was unharmed from Covid-19 infections during this period. When the crew left the vessel in good health, everything was normal in Europe. But when we landed in Europe 11 hours later, the world was burning and in lockdown.- Worked on the vessels side on projects for Golden Star FSO (Mærsk Mariner) & rig move for Intermoor / Aquatic (Mærsk Mover).Project planning with the client in order to accommodate needs and wants for their project and coordinating with the clients material section for load out planning of the vessel in order to fully utilise the vessels capacities and to avoid down time for re-loading of the vessel.- Training and motivation of the crew by applying the foundations of David Marquet Intent-based Leadership.
